Hot Tuna Electric at the Bayou in DC in fall 1989.

Went to both early & late shows. We sat next to Jack Cassady's grandmother, who was every day of 100. They did Death Don't Have No Mercy in the 2nd show with the hot wax lights overlayed over random old 8mm movies/video footage. Grandma was rocking back and forth like crazy on her cane during Death Don't. The band absolutely GOT OFF both shows in one of the most psychedelic shows I have ever seen. I was at a Tuna show about 7 years back when they were starting to release some live shows. I went and talked to the marketing guy. I asked him if they were going to release this show as a download. He looked at me kind of weird, and said "I don't know but I was just listening to that show yesterday."

Anybody know what happened to their releasing this stuff? It just all disappeared from their site one day. Would love to get a copy of this show.

Floyd was good in '90 as were the Stones. Neither compares with Dead like Tuna.

Also used to see a band called the Convertibles in the 80s who were awesome.

Lucky. That tour was amazing. And yet another band I wish I had seen earlier than I did. I too, would love for some of their older material to be released.

BTW, I took a lil break from that 9/11/82 MTX, but just started it up again and hope to have it completed within a week. I only have 1 song left, and then just wanna touch up a few things. But look for it to be up fairly shortly.

Cool. You are wise to take a break. Undoubtedly you will get a better result. I am really looking forward to it. It will be a gran improvement over the current sources.
